Most likely not since phpBB3 doesn't use the chatbox forumotion uses. You can install any custom chatbox on your phpBB3 forum though, which is an advantage over fm.

Yeh AWC is more a complex wrapper for the FM chatbox. However phpbb3 has a lot more freedom so there are better chatboxs out there which you install.
