[url=/t428-28-create-new-bbcodes-with-new-lgbb]LGBB[/url] is installed on AvacWeb and so we have the ability to add more BBcodes to use within posts. If you are unsure what LGBB is and what it does click here: [url=/t428-28-create-new-bbcodes-with-new-lgbb]LGBB[/url]
Instead of clogging the editor up with more buttons, I decided to list them here for you:
No Guest tag
The noguest tag allows you to hide content from guests. This is handy if your sharing code that you do not wish guests to see.
Just wrap the content inside noguest tags and the content inside will be swapped for 'Please log in to view this content' for guests.
Example: [noguest]This text is inside noguest tags[/noguest]
The Button Spoiler
There is a second type of spoiler called the Button Spoiler on this board. The tag is bspoiler
You can specify a title for the spoiler inside the tags attribute: [ bspoiler="title" ]
Example: [bspoiler="This is a button spoiler"]Just like a normal spoiler but with a button. lol. [/bspoiler]
The DIV tag
This tag allows you to put a DIV element with a classname into a post. The tag is div and you specify the classname in the attribute. [ div="classname" ]
Example: [div="avacblock"]This is a div with the classname 'avacblock'[/div]
The SPAN tag
This is exactly the same as the DIV tag above, but as 'span'. Therefore it is inline.
The Inline Code tag
To display inline code within a sentence, use ic tags. Sometimes a full code block is not necessary.
Example: A sentence with [ic]some inline code[/ic] in it.
The Panda tag
The Panda tag is used for specifying what language is inside a code block, so it can be parsed and colored. Its called Panda, because the syntax highlighter we use is called Panda, and you can get it here: http://www.avacweb.com/t324-24-syntax-highlighting-with-panda
The Panda tag does not need a closing tag, you simply use it like this: [panda=language] and you use it inside code tags, straight after the opening code tag.
The 'language' should be either 'css', 'js', 'html' or 'xml'.
Example:
The Header Tags
If your familiar with HTML you'll know of the header tags <h1> to <h6>, you can create these tags inside posts by using BBcode in the same way. For <h1> tags use [h1] and so on.
Example:
The Tip Tag
The tip tag allows you to make neat tooltips for little helpful hints. The content you put between the tags will be displayed inside a tool tip. When you don't specify an attribute the text to hover over will be '(?)' but you can specify your own text in the attribute.
Here's an example without an attribute: [tip]This is an example tooltip[/tip]
And here's an example with an attribute of 'Hello' ; [tip=Hello]This is an example tooltip with attribute.[/tip]
Inline Quote Tag
The "iq" tag is for quick short quotes displayed inline (not on their own line). You can specify the author of the quote in the attribute, and the author will be displayed when you hover over an inline quote. Here is an example:
[iq=LGforum]Welcome to AvacWeb![/iq] - Hover over to see the atuhor of the quote.
If you have any requests or idea's for BBcodes to add, please suggest them below.
